What works for you? Even measureing factory ammo in FMJ they are over the place in lenth.

what fits the mag?? you are talking 45acp.you want something that fits mag and also feeds.I am not bashing you so try crimping in crimp groove.some times you have to make your own dimentions.the books are a start.I dont know as I have never loaded RN only SWC.and I loaded to what I wanted and it never failed me.
but I followed what the best shooters at that time did.do you have manuals.they give OAL.I have hundreds of books and many on reloading.I have read them all several times.

Which RNL? There are all sorts of ogives available.

The Lee 452-228-1R works well for me at 1.245 inch.

1.25" is pretty standard and has worked well over many years in quite a few 1911s.
