What is your favorite 357 Mag load? It can be BP or smokeless and of course the projectile must be lead.

Good evening
6 grains Unique & 170 gswc (358429) . If this was all I ever had I would not feel badly. BUT I would hunt with 8 grains Unique & same boolit in my Dan Wesson (8").

I am working on finding it. I am starting with a 124 grain TC boolit with 6.5 grain bullseye and working my way up to 8.3 grains in 2/10th increments. Gonna shoot 5 each and compare the group sizes.

Howdy !

I recommend any Lyman .357caibre cast PB SWC of 158-172gr, over
14.5gr WW296; and a Magnum SP primer ( I used WW and CCI ).
I never needed GCs.

The 296 load is accurate in 4", 5" and 6" "N" frames, burns clean; and has
" Major Calibre" power..... for shoots where they care about such things.

As an economical load: I like 7br I4756 and regular SP primer; with same bullet wts as above. This load is a bit sooty, though.

Best of luck in your endeavors.

Regards,
.357Mag
