Picked up 2 Carcano's yesterday. Both have been to Bubba's house. The 6.5 M38 is a rifle and has the SA mark. Stock has been cut back. The other is a 7.35 M41 and the stock has been chopped and looks like a woodpecker hit it about 60 times. Of course now I need brass, moulds, dies etc... for them. Of course $100 for both wasn't bad. My wife tells me to stay away from them too. Especially when I bring home a new "toy"

I know what you mean. I go to just have a look, then it all goes to heck. In the old days I did the same thing only in bars. My wife likes the gunstore habit way better. Hey, a man needs a hobby! Idle mind....

Hey Mark I got one of those $50.00 Carcano's in 6.5 you will need to slug your bore as anything less than .269 rattles down mine. I took some 6.5 Privi ammo to the range to shoot and get the brass, well at 25 yards I didn't even hit the paper. So I sized some .277 cast to .270 and at least hit the target.
Try Midsouth for brass I got some on sale a while back.

My big problem is walking into J&G Sales showroom with a credit card in my pocket. The sales people gang up on me, hold me down and beat me untill I buy something.

I keep telling my wife the same thing, not sure if she is buying it anymore.

I get around the wife by keeping it in my trunk. Then I grab an arm full, go shooting and come back with one more than I left with. They all look the same to her and so far I haven't been caught.

I Can't stay out of them No purchases for a good while. Primers and powder are eating into the disposable income.

I did it again this week-end. This time a H&R 922 and a JC Higgins m29. Not Milsurps but the H&R came out of my favorite milsurp shop.

Maybe you got the models/cal turned around? Around here they are all bubba'd with spray paint blueing and angle grinder stock finishes, and yes usually around 50 bucks. Hey mombo, mombo Italiano

Yeah they are turned around. That is what happens when you have too many milsurps and the wife lives 212 miles away. She never knows what I have dragged home.
