J&G S&W model 64-.38 Special---

Has anyone ordered one of the S&W model 64 .38 Special revolvers from J&G
Sales ? They're supposed to be double action only.
Was wondering if the "bobbed" hammer was changed if they can be fired
single action also ?
I'm assuming that these are Police trade in models.

Some are marked as NY models, so I'm pretty sure all of them came from NYC. IIRC, you would need to change the hammer for a standard one with spur, since the bobbed one doesn't have a single action sear notch. It will have to be fitted to the gun.

Probably an extra power Mainspring in that sucker too.

the ny-1 I was sent is in excellent condition with standard mainspring and no DA spur. trigger is actually pretty nice....

I assume you meant no Single Action notch instead of "no DA spur".
Is that correct?
