125 sierra hp

Anyone ever had any luck with the Sierra 125 gr HP in a 30/30? I realize this is a cast forum, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

I've had very good use of them in my Winchester, with 748. They are deadly on our smaller NC whitetails. BvT

I too have tried them and they are a good bullet but now I shoot mostly cast in my 30-30s. I shot 100 rounds yesterday through my 94 Winchester and Pedersoli Rolling block. I had a lot of fun knocking down silhouettes at 200 yards with them during a practice at my club

thats one of my fav loads. if i recall correctly ( been awhile since i shot or loaded them ) i put them over 30gns of H4895

Thanks, I tried them yesterday with Re-7 with less than promising results. So, I think I will pursue this further.
