M16 Bolt

How can you tell the difference between a standard AR15 bolt carrier and an M16 bolt carrier? I have 2 complete bolts and want to know what they are.

On the rear of the M16 carrier the opening is not as large between the rear and the front of the carrier. The closed in area in the rear is couple inches long. Of course it weighs more. The bolts are identical.
