A few questions for anyone that casts this bullet and shoots in a .308 bore.
1. What is your as cast weight ?

2. What is the as cast Dia. on the bands and nose ?

3.what is the OAL of the bullet and the OAL of the bullet that is at least .301

4. What have been your results with this bullet, espically at 100 yds.

Thank you

I've successfully shot this in my Number 1 .30/06. I thought it did rather well but normally shoot a havier bullet in it./beagle

Wayne I have two 7.62 Nato / 308 rifles I cast and shoot. I have two boolits that I find work well for me over a wide range of velocities up to 1900 fps. They both cast at .309 on the bands and one is .301 on the nose portion and the other is .299.

I also use the .299 on the nose boolit in my K31s

Both boolits come out at around 178gr checked and lubed.

Length of the large nose diameter is 1.022 this has a 1r pointed ogive
Length of the small nose is 0.987 this has a 0.195 flat meplat
Both of these have a .500 length from base of check to front of front driving band.

Oops! Didn't pay enough attention. Sorry Wayne I don't shoot 130gr boolits in anything.

Are you asking about the 311410 non-gaschecked 130gr mold?

I use it in all my 30-31 caliber rifles. from 7.62x39, 308 Win, 30-06, 7.7 Jap, 303 Brit and 7.62x54R.

My next project will be this boolit in 30-30 loaded singly.

Bruce Close, I'm asking about the RCBS 130-7.62, which is close to the 311410 but with a gas check.
