Can gas checks be attached....

...without a die? I do not have a sizer die and was wondering if they could be put on by hand?

A sizer die is required to crimp the check onto the boolit. Checks are oversized as they come out of the box, loading a boolit without a crimped check will result in poor or non-existent case neck tension.

Lee push through sizers work fine, and are only $15 or so.

I'll go thru my selection of reloading dies and see if there is a die that will fit. I used a 243 resizing die to put my gas checks on until my 6.5 die showed up.



(I'm guessing MS is on a mission to get some 8mm bullets loaded for the Milsurp match Saturday)
