This deer was about 60 yd broadside. It traveled 80 - 100yd with both lungs hit. The blood trail could be followed at a fast walk.

I have a lady who is a wildlife habitat specialist for the State out on stand trying to kill this buck. It looks like our deer are related! I saw this fellow a couple weeks ago at 35 yards and he is a hoss. With his unusual horns, I've been able to follow him since he was 1 1/2 years old and this is his 6th year. She really wants this buck and has been hunting hard for him but at his ripe age he has become mostly nocturnal.

Michael, Those are some unusual horns also. The horns on my deer didn't look like they belonged to the same animal. the right side was a different height and shape and number of points. Pretty ugly actually, but I don't think I will take the bullet back and let him go.
