This ol' boy was mfg in 1923. Its been rebuilt and restocked. I'm sure the restocking was in Turkey as the skill(less) stock making never came out of Czechoslovakia. The wood is pretty walnut but the stock is UGLY.

I'm sure the guy who redid this stock was a drop-out from the British FTR rifle stock program in Bangladesh. He was abused as a child and picked on by his 12 older sisters. He retaliated by doing this to rifle stocks..

It is a sound rifle and superior Czech action. Its just UGLY. This rifle came to me fully engulfed in grease so I know it hadn't been fired since it was resident of the Turkish Riveria... or someplace ugly and dirty. I did a deep kerosene clean with toothbrush and checked headspace. Passes no-go. I'm pretty sure this rifle will be donated to the Brinks Machine Works Richards Microfit/Douglas air guaged experiment by next summer. I'm not normally one to tear down milsurp rifles but this thing is UGLY.
