Lee challenger handle

I have aquired 1 with no handle , how long from top of ball to end of the shaft on a factory 1 ???

12" to the tip of the ball handle with a knotch 1" from the bottom to hold in place. Make sure it stays good and tight perferably with a locknut of some type. The handle works loose and moves causing stress on the toggle with is a common point of breakage but if it stays tight it almost never breaks.

Thanks mooman76, I just did`nt want to make it too long & over torque the links.

Probably will use it for lite chores anyways.

When(not if) the monkey metal links break, you can replace 'em with the steel links now used on the newer Breech Lock Challenger. Havetsa have one other part I can't remember the name(dang the CRS disease) of too !

Keep the bolt holding the toggle halves tight and breaking is unlikley. Let it get sloppy and a break is MUCH more likely.
