You are one lucky man to be able to have your Father along. Sad to say I lost my Dad 26 years ago now. Count your blessings. Great photo.

Bullet is a Gas Check, .240" Meplat, nose length .190", dia. at bottom of nose section .365". All driving bands are full diameter, sized .412" for my gun. Bullet OAL is .795"

When I checked the throats they were all different, and all under bore diameter so had a friend at an aerospace machine shop hone them to .412-.4125. No indication of leading or other problems with dimensions where they are now.

Mold was made by my Brother in law, he has just begun teaching himself the trade, seems to be learning pretty quick. I don't remember if this mold is steel or cast iron, I think it is iron. He still has it in Colorado, bringing it east with him along with some other equipment in the end of December. What I am shooting right now he cast and sized for me.

I am pretty happy with the results so far. Next project will be for my new Ruger Single Six .32 H&R. Also thinking about a .30-30 rifle mold, or maybe one for the .348/Model 71 Win.

Wonderful story and a great buck. You should be very grateful for a fine deer and a special time with your Dad!
