My teenage nephew just bought a Savage 110 in .30-06 with earnings frrom his first job. I am going to load some ammo for him for his birthday present. I live two states away and want to make sure he has some ammo to shoot when I visit for Thanksgiving.
What is the maximum OAL that will feed thru the magazine of the Savage 110 in .30-06?:castmine:

The Magazine box on a OLD model 110 is almost exactly 3.500".
If he has a new one with the new trigger it may be different.
Also the one I just checked was a blind mag, and a floor plate or clip may change it as well.

Without actually chambering the rounds in the rifle it is best to stay at or below max. cart. length.

Thanks for the information. I believe it is an older rifle with a blind magazine.

when loading for an unseen gun.
doing the full size.trim and min oal is the best route.
you can reload them next time after he fireforms them.
