Are you sure the 1st isn't aa1680? I seem to recall it being more or less the same as win680. If so, you can get info from Accurate's websight!

maddog, see link and post #1 by yodar. These are surplus powders and vary from lot to lot, be prudent and start low. Use the search function for additional information about this powder. It used to be mentioned quite often...Ray

I asked the same question here about a year or so back. I got the same type answer to start low and use AA-1680 data. Good luck.Robert

WC680 is a surplus powder. Formerly a standardized canister grade was sold as Winchester 680, and AA1680 is a surplus batch that may or may not be the same as what we get from the surplus dealers, but it's close.

WC860 is very different from WC680, being the Olin Ball powder for loading .50 BMG. It's pretty close to H870, which was surplus WC870. The official specs for burning rate showed WC860 at 82, WC870 at 81, and WC872 at 80. I think WC760 was the reference at 100. WC872's pretty close to AA8700 and may be the same thing.

I went and checked to be sure, the Hornady loads with WW680 and AA1680 ere a full 2 grains different for the same velocity in the 357 Max. That might get to be an issue with max loads.

Best to start off with the WW 680 load levels and work up as it seems to be a bit hotter (and more accurate by all accounts I have read).

I have some WC 680 and it shot same velocities as AA1680 in a side by side comparison.
