First Smelting today, This is about a third of the pure lead GP100man and I smelted today. Want to give him Huge Kudos for all the help. Ingots average 1.5 lbs.

It's a nice pile, but why did you dump them in the dirt after spending the time and effort to get them clean?

All that pure lead sure looks purdy.
Pure lead and pure tin plus high antimony lead makes it to customise an alloy.

ImaShooter2, They're on a Concrete Pad, John Boy, Waiting on Molds, they were back ordered. Tomorrow is The Isotope lead 96-3-1 and 95-2.5-2.5 About 700 lbs.

What did you use for the ingot mould?

It is an old cast iron backing pan I got from Springfield.

Those small cheap 3"X5"X 2" deep bread pand make great ingot molds. Best of all, they will fit into a 20# casting pot good enough to melt in.
