Will any of the Lee handles fit RCBS molds?

The 6-cavity handles will, after a bit of filing or grinding.

I took a handle off an old abused Lee mould and put them on with some shims. It worked in a pinch but I'd recomend getting the 6 cavity handles and filing them down a bit.

I have a set but have six cavity molds and they fit my Lyman also.

I'm going to order another set or two since they fit the RCBS too.

Is there a problem with RCBS handles? Is that why you go with the modified Lee handles? I have a few Lyman handles but just picked up a couple RCBS molds and was going to buy a set of their handles. Would that be a mistake?

The Lee handles cost $12...quite a bit less than either Lyman or RCBS.

No modification required for Lyman moulds, and just a few minutes filing to fit RCBS.

The problem with RCBS handles (and Lyman as well) is the price. The quality is top shelf, and they work very well. But the last going price I saw was in the $30-$32 range at Midway or Midsouth. The Lee 6 Cav handles are priced at MidSouth at $12-$13. You can easily do the math. Filing the Lee's down is not difficult; it takes a little time, but if you're in a hurry you can use a grinder. The metal is relatively soft so I would recommend the file method. If one wants to then use the modified Lee handles again in a mold that has wider grooves it is possible by creating a set of shims to take up the space as necessary. The shims can be snipped, ground or shaped by filing. Some sheet aluminum will work fine as no lead drips will stick to it. The necessary holes will have to be drilled in the shims to mach up with the retaining pins/screws and you're good to go. LLS
