made it to the range thursday to try the new 230gr. tc lee boolit. had loaded 50 with bullseye, 50 with w-231, and 50 with unique, tested in a colt 1991a1, charles daly 1911 ,and s&w 625.the boolit worked great in both pistols and the revolver, no feed problems and very good accuracy with all powders used.i think ive just found a new favorite 45acp boolit.....dick

I'm not sure if you have to make a power factor, if not try some clays behind that puppy, I can't say enough about how clean it burns. You also use a bit less than bullseye, and it bulks up better and fills the case more.

One odd thing about the Clay's Dick, it doesnt come in a 1lb can, only 14 ozfits in the normal hogden 1lb size container, apparently it's fluffy not stuffy :-)

SC et al--

I have long used WW-231 for my 45 ACP work, but a LOT of people just praise Clays to the barn rafters in several pistol calibers I load. I'm prompted to give that stuff a try.

I used clays for my 185 grain bullseye loads and it worked very well. However, I found it to be too touchy for stouter loads under heavier bullets. A double charge is hard to spot and will blow the gun. I much prefer Titegroup or 231 for the 230 grainers. BD
