I ran across this mold at one of our sporting goods store this evening.
Anyone using it in 30/06...Opinions? ? I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it.
I've got one too. New. I'd like to pick up another (to make into a plain based bullet). Let me know if you want to part with it. (I live in Pulaski - assume you're somewhere near Richmond?).

I've been shooting this boolit on and off for several years in 03/03A3 for military bolt matches - small groups and large scores. All I can say about it is that Tony the Tiger would like it --- IT'S GRR-EAT!!. It also works extremely well in 12 twist .308.
TRK, I guess if Pete keeps it, it will be my fault, eh?

I have duel citizenship. Burb House in Central va and a farm on the NC line.
I was thinking about the same thing. They may have another one. I'll check.

The bad news is there are two RCBS 30-180-SP mould designs. The good news is that from my experience, both shoot well in my .30/06.
RCBS PN 82020 is the newer design and it's more of a spitzer design. 196+ grains.
RCBS PN 82013 is the older design and looks similar in weight and design to Lyman's 311467. 187+ grains
From my experiences, the newer design slightly edges the older design out in accuracy./beagle

This is the 82020 Beagle.
It looks like it should be fine for hunting although I like a little bigger meplat.
I'm trying to decide whether to have Buckshot make it PB or not.

Look for a trade for a 30-180-FN RCBS. Good, heavy bullet with a fairly large meplat./beagle
