I bought 1000 pieces of 9mm brass from a local shooting range. I found 29 RG 9X19 head stamps in the first 50 and I can't get a primer in them. I've never worried about head stamps or kinds of brass before because they all work for me and my plinking. Previously, I've probably run into this before but it was not in this quantity and I just tossed it and went on without looking at what kind it was because it only happened once in 500 pieces.
In measuring the primer pockets in RG I'm finding a consistent .164 and other brands are measuring .168-.170.
Magtech and CCI are the only primers I've tried because that's what I've got right now.
Is it possible, or worth my time to fix the primer pocket? If I can't make them uniform, I don't want to play. I stopped shooting my 9X18s because I didn't want to use my tired old eyes separating brass. Later Don
