Ordered a Lee C324-175-R last week, and it showed up at the door today. Problem is the vent lines appear to be miss cut? I haven't seen this before and don't know if it will still cast properly or not.

What saids the masses??

If you Lement, you cannot return the mold. Cast first and see what problems, if any, you have with the mold. Examine and measure the boolits and then decide.

They look like mine do, and they cast great.
Soak it in mineral spirits for two days, then cast.
It looks good.

As has been said, try it first. If its not up to spec then give Lee the chance to make it good, you could be lucky with them.

Nora,

It looks like my Lee moulds, too. Am I not seeing something?

What I'm referring to is the lack of the vent lines to the edge of the inside of the mold on the right of each half. It's soaking now and I'll give it a try tomorrow. I just wasn't sure if that was a defect or no big deal.

Okay, Nora, I see what you mean. Checked mine and the lines go all the way to the ends of the blocks. To echo the others, clean 'em and cast some up. Hope it works.

If you put them together you'll notice they don't fit flush at the blank spot.
The mold falls away into the locating grooves for the last 1/8" or so.
At least mine do if they have that "bald" spot, like yours.
