I took the original stock of my Chinese SKS and attempted to modify it myself, which means I broke it and had to buy an ATI stock for it. The ATI stock works fine but I would really like one that has a bayonet groove. Is an American sized stock available with a bayonet groove? Synthetic or wood does not really matter to me.

Take a look at David's Collectibles. They sell surplus fiberglass SKS stocks. You can order one for the spike or blade type bayonets.

Their web address is http://www.tickbitesupply.com

Click on the "Stocks" link at the left side of the page.

Hope this helps,

While Tapco no longer sells to the general public (I think they shot themselves in the foot), they do make some OUTSTANDING aftermarket goodies for the SKS. I have my SKS outfitted with their stuff, and have NO complaints or suggestions!:D Check the catalogs.

Mrs Fred's SKS came with a Darganoff (s?) stock on it.
It never made it home. What a hunk of junk.

She has had the Tapco T-6 every since, and you cant pry it our of her hands.

But then we scaped everything hanging off the barrel, so the front sight and bayo when down range.
