I have a friend who has a endless supply of these and I can get them without a problem, so is anyone using them?
From a newspaper, magnet sticks to them, thickness of .007"

First they are more then likely steel, which can't be good for your barrel and they are on the thin side unless you ganged them up and that's a hassle.

Thanks,
kinda what I figured on the barrel and same on thickness.
But asking is sometimes easier than just giving a whack at something.

Steel plates, how unusual, been in printing since 1975, that's an new one on me, must be a process other than offset or the writing wouldn't be reversed. I'm not doing the aluminum oxide discussion this time, will leave it someone else.

Ahh Yes - the notorious Aluminum Oxide controversy that has no proof, just fireside supposition.

You would think someone would have tested this and have some real data.

Personally I think it is much adu about nothing.

But why doesn't anyone produce commercial ones in aluminum? And why are the copper ones so expensive when stamped copper hydraulic fitting seals cost 1/10 as much?

My friend called them Flexo plates
Flexographic printing.
