The Winter that would not end, but finally did!!

It is May 1st. The sun is out and finally melting the snow.
I can see my boat now, and have not seen it for months.
The one road in town has turned to mud. And people are seeing the miricle of spring; the geese and cranes have returned to nest. The river will be frozen for weeks yet, but you gotta love spring.

We are even starting to melt here on the coast. I had to move my Honda 4 wheeler as the snow was melting out from underneath it, only 6 ft more to go there. I heard that the geese have been spotted near Tuluksak, so they will be here in a matter of days. Time for the spring bird season to start. I am going to try for some cranes with the 8mm Mauser and the Lee 175GC over 10gr of HS-6. I don't know how fast it is going but it should be minute of crane and is easy to shoot.

It was in the 70's on Saturday, but it's forecast to SNOW in the next couple of days.

I was going to go fishing!! Now I think I'll call my Brother and see if we can go Snowmobiling Sunday (We're taking golf lessons Saturday:confused: ).
