What size bullet for a Vetterli

I just got a 1878 Vetterli. I slugged the barrel and it came out .434 and .418. What Diameter bullet should it take ? I have a Ranch dog mold that is .432. It really needs a longer bullet than that, to make it feed from the magazine so If I have to order a special mold I would like to make sure I get the right size bullet for it.

You might do well to make an impact slug of the case neck area. I believe that a couple of others had to go to heel-type boolits to get something that would chamber AND fill the barrel.

I have done that. I am thinking about taking a reamer and taking out the tapper out. Here is a diagram I found on the swiss board .
