Thought I'd share this heavy duty gun / rifle rest with you all. My 1st project while
having access to a milling machine of course. It stands 71/2" and adj. to 10 1/2 ".
Weighs in at 9 lbs. Carpeted angle iron to protect barrels which swivels and turns 360. Just spin the 1" nut and travels up or down on the 1" all-thread. LOL.

I like it,but of course anything that is self made has to be better than store bought. Good job.

LOL...No sir ..won't tip over thats for sure, but here in west texas you damn near
need something like this. If you hold on tight ,you won't get blown away.:)

nice work, does the nut just acts as a stop so you would have to hold threaded rode and turn the nut for adjustment, right? just curious because i think im going to make this.

Yes sir, the nut adjusts the all thread up or down. It justs sits on top of the main tube with lrge. washer in between. The Threaded rod has 1/4 " shoulder bolt for the stop. Posted xtra pics for you. Hope this helps you. The nut actually free floats on top for easy adjustments made.
