Rummaging continues: came up with a double cavity #33889. Nominally a 250 gr. GC. I have 338-06 and maybe this would be fun.
Anyone have an opinion or experience with this mold?

Nice find! Those moulds are hard to come by. What twist does your .338-06 have? If it's the 1 in 10" twist commonly used, then you'll probably find your best accuracy with that bullet at around 1600 fps or so. I shoot that bullet (and it's HP) in a .338 wildcat I put together for the Contender back in '93. For details see:

Its just a standard Douglas barrel from the early 90's on a push feed Model 70, 24". Should be fun. Thanks.
