Does anyone know what powder Norma used in the 6.5 Carcano?
I just dumped a bunch of original Norma shells and powder today to install Cast boolits and am wondering what I've got.

That's from the Norma powder site and is their reloading data for the Carcano. Maybe you can get an idea of what powder was in those rounds especially if you remember how many grains were used.

It may be the MRP since I measured a little over 35 grns. However these are at least 30 yrs old, so they may have used something else back then.
I loaded 5 cartridges with 25 grains of that powder and my cast bullets last night intending on testing them today. then after reading the horror stories of reduced loads of magnum powder, I chickened out and unloaded them this morning.
