View Full Version : Little scratch built nipple pistol

Here is pic of a scratch built percussion pistol I put together back in the late 1970's. The barrel is made from the brass stem of a frost free valve.

I gave it to my brother a few years later, all he did with it was build a shadow box for display and there it has remained, he has never fired it.

............Hangfire, that is a VERY nice looking well balanced appearing little pistol :). I like those accouterments too. Obviously they were meant to accompany the pistol? How big is the bore?

Looks like you did a good job. What do they say? It's pleasing to the eye? :-)

Was a .36, and the trappings were made for it. One has to look close, but can be seen in my belt from pic back in 1981.

..............Hang Fire, great period looking photograph! (if they'd had camaras then) Take this as the compliment it's meant to be, but you look like you BELONG in the freetrapper era!
