358 Norma is WAY TOO MUCH for cross fox.
Well I can say this, he dropped in a heap and never wiggled.
I wont do it again, next time I am taking my contender 256 WM or 22 Hornet.
Nice hide thought regardless of the hole......

How big is a cross fox? 358 Norma is way to much for anything but the biggest meanest toothiest critters aint it?

I'll bet he was all steamy, gutted and skinned too after being shot with that caliber... :) The Gray and Red Foxes in my area are about the size of an average house cat.

The fur baring hides up in your country should start to be gittin' good about now. Foxes, Lynx, Beaver, Otter and so many others are available to you lucky dogs....

I'm wondering too what a "Cross Fox" is? Is it like our Kits, Grays and Reds or is it more like your Arctic sub-species?

The 358 Norma should have been perfect for your fox. What Cast Boolit were you shooting? seems like a nice 180 gr WFN at say 1200 fps, would have just punched a hole threw and been real neat like, just a couple of .35 holes. I would Think 18 gr of SR 4759 would be a perfect light charge in your big 35.

I shot it at 3 Yards with a 280gn LWFN GC at 2200 FPS
The hide has a nite tear on the off side, but it is not where the boolit exited at. It it where the shoulder and rib cage blew out at.

A cross fox is a cross between a silver and red fox.
This one might be all silver
