I re-measured my cylinder after getting .429 on the bore and they're all .430 or just slightly under.
My Lee 429-200-RF will drop .429 at the base of the boolit if I do everything right (some are measuring .430 at the first driving band). Get it the least bit wrong and I'll see .428.
I've already cast hundreds while learning so I don't think it's fair to ask Lee to replace it. Would they recut to .430 for me or could I get there with lementing?
I intend to push this round pretty hard. In the 1350 range.
I suggest lementing your mold. It is a simple procedure, works, and gives you the satisfaction of doing something different.

So it would open it up .001 or .002?

I give up. What is lementing?

With a little lapping you can pcik up a thousandth of an inch easily enough two wouldn't be hard either.
Five would be annoying!
Leementing is a process that takes some of the rough edges off or out of a Lee mold. Plelase check the stickies section and find the one for Leementing.
Many times a Lee mold, mostly the to bangers, will get out of the plant under sized out of round or very heavily burred.
Leementing is a process reffered to here that repair or adjusts these short comings and make said mold a little more useable.

Scott, your mould is casting within Lee's specs.

As Leftoverdj said. It is a 429 mould. Keep in mind after a week you boolits will grow about .001
And I mis-spoke - er - mis-wrote. I suggest Beagling your mold (after lementing). You need some aluminum tape from Ace. Read the sticky on it - it is easier than you might think, and an easy way to gain a couple thousandths in diameter - and not permanent!
