I am confused with the names of these actions.
Could you fine folks straighten me out?

First appears to be a Springfield -03, second is a Mauser 98 - I think...

Second photo is a 98 Mauser. The first appears to be an 03, a picture of the left side could confirm this.

The first is an '03 Springfield. The shape of the bridge, receiver ring, cocking piece, bolt sleeve, and safety lug are distinctive. The second is a Mod 98 Mauser. Once again the profile of the bridge, receiver ring, safety, and the bolt sleeve are distinctive.

Largom/ 13 Echo are correct about the 2nd pic being a 98.
The notch in the front reciever ring was usually done after arsenal rework to 30-06, mostly post WW 2. I know F/N did make some issue ones with it also, for some south american counties.
