About a year ago I started getting interested in casting my own bullets with the scarcity of manufactured on the shelves of local stores. So I started reading, ordered the Lyman and RCBS books, scrounged together some equipment and wheel weights and basically took the plunge. The culmination of it all is great meat in the freezer and the satisfaction of doing it with a bullet I cast in cartridges I hand-loaded, and with a handgun. The out of box 44mag Super Blackhawk Hunter Bisley with 2X Burris, RCBS 240gr air-cooled straight wheel weights, 50/50 white label lube, sized to .430 dropped a nice muley at about 100yds with one shot. I was really happy and had a great time with the whole process. Good luck to all! Thanks for the advice.

44mag Super Blackhawk Hunter Bisley
My new 44mag Super Blackhawk Hunter Bisley has been shipped to my dealer. I've been trying to get there for three days. Hopefully will be picking it up tomorrow.

Nice job with yours!

Outstanding!

I practiced all year long last year for a long shot on a deer with my handgun and then wouldn't ya know it, one walks up to me 12 yds away. :)
