You can have this mold. NO cost to you. Before i take a hammer to it.
I stripped the sprue plate screw twice, tried JB weld already....... Some one can fix this mold up and sell it to someone that is in need for a song. I know someone out there can fix this.

JB won't take the heat, it needs to be re-tapped.

Got it today, Ill be heli-coiling the hole. Ill probably cast a few and then give it back to Randy if he wants it. If not Ill probably do a benefit auction or give it away.

Just drill and tap it for a 8-32x3/4" screw.

Helicoil will be a stronger fix.

A #8 screw would have been too small. A 10-24 fit the bushing just right so I heli coiled it to 10-24.
I think the original was 10/32 but I only had 10/24 helicoils so that settled it.
Cast a few this afternoon just fine so I would say its fixed.
I guess if the hole was totally trashed a person could flip the sprue plate around and drill a new hole. Or weld the old hole shut and start over,
All reliable options, but luckily the heli-coil worked out
