Got some 380 ACP 95gr. pills from Missouri Bullet Co. and was curious to know if anyone has reloaded with this particular boolit.

I have data for 92's and 100's, but cannot seem to find anything for 95's.

Think I'd like to go with 231, but figured I'd see what others might be using. Be shooting them out of a Ruger LCP (yep, already read the Kb report on that one ;) ).

I have loaded a lot of lead bullets but cast all of my own. I would either use the 100 load or the 92 gr one. The first use as is and the second cut it a couple tenths of a grain for starters.

With that little pocket pistol you'll want a reduced load so you can stand to shoot it. Plus keep the brass within sight. With WW231 a charge between 2.6gr to 2.8 grains should work the action fine.

Even though the books show higher charges of 231 I'd consider 3 grains as about top end for the LCP or the Kel Tec. Bullseye is a good fast powder for these short barrels also. For years I shot 3.0 grains of BE under a 90 grain cast in an AMT Backup. 2.6gr of BE would be a good practice load. The 3 gr load would turn the web of my hand blue.

I load 2.7grs. of Bullseye under a Lee Cast 99gr. RN boolit out of a LCP and find it a comfortable load that cycles the action well. I have shot 3grs of BE but find it stouter than needed to cycle and fire in a little pocket pistol for practice. I used WW Small pistol primers and BAC lube on the bullet sized to .3575" diameter.

These will strictly be plinking rounds and I may get the gumption to try it in BUG in a couple of IDPA matches next year.

I was thinking right about 2.6 of 231 and it sounds like that might be a good place to start.

I've got some BE laying around, so I'll try that out too.

Thanks!

I loaded a 120gr. 9MM bullet in my KelTec (when I had it) with 2gr. Bullseye I believe. It functioned the gun and shot pretty good.

I have been using 2.8 grains of WW 231 behind everything from an 88 grain JHP to a Lee 105 grain cast boolit. My Walther PPKS and the Ruger LCP shoot this load just fine. I find that getting the COL right and sorting cases by brand and length help more than anything.
