There are several explanations of sight adjustment in the book, and I feel that another attempt is needed. Here's what happens.
Elevation
You align the sights with the bull, and shoot.
The bullet goes (EX) high
You move the rear sight DOWN
The sights are now looking ABOVE the bull center
You move the gun DOWN so that the sights align with the bull
You fire again, and the bullet hits LOWER than the first shot
Windage
You align the sights with the bull, and shoot.
The bullet goes (EX) RIGHT
You move the rear sight LEFT
The sights are now looking RIGHT of the bull center
You move the gun LEFT so that the sights align with the bull
You fire again, and the bullet hits LEFT of the first shot
Each can be shown in four pictures/sketches, but I can't draw anything. Is there a sketcher out there who could, would, and can provide the sketches in .jpg??
Thanks;
joe b.
