Tried this in the lube section w/o any responses. Any thoughts here?
With winter starting to set in, I would like to try and get a lot of my casting and sizing done.
I like using 50/50 (beeswax/Alox) in my Lyman 4500 for 38, 45, 9mm boolits.
It seems that the consistency of the lube changes over time. When the boolits are first lubed, the lube is somewhat sticky. Over time, it seems that the lube in the grooves sets up a little and becomes less sticky - a little rubbery.
So if I lube a bunch this winter, will those boolits with the firmed up lube be good for shooting next summer and beyond?
