I have a single cavity Lyman mould #450229 it is a nose pour mould with a hollow base plug tag says 155 grain wiith lead any idea on what this is for? I have no use for it and will be listing it for sale but I would like to know more about it before it finds a new home

According to the lyman book this is 155 gr. .450 diam boolit. There are only two .450 mold in the book so it's an odd one. With that weight I think its a pistol boolit, but what it fits I have no idea...hawken54...

That boolit works good in my 44 cal BP revolvers. You can also shoot it in a 45 cal BP rifle. A little light for the rifle though. Mark

Thanks to the both of you I fiqured it was for black powder mainly because of the large hollow base design.I have never played with BP guns yet so still learning,again thank you for the info
