I just been casting the lee mold 45ACP 200 gr. The boolits are coming out 452.5 plus or minus .001. Question.. Since these are TL's should I rezise them or not? Will be using light loads from a short barrel 45.

I use the tl452-230-2r unsized with no problem. They drop right at .4535 and my bore is .451 so they are a good match. I would slug the bore though. also free chambering is a concern.

Load a sample round right from the mould. Remove the barrel (if your pistol is a 1911) and drop the round in. If it chambers readily, chances are it'll work fine. I seat the bullet out so that the base of the loaded round is flush with the barrel hood. In other words, it headspaces on the bullet instead of the case. I taper crimp.

If necessary, the Lee TL's size readily.

................Like the guys say, try it first and see how it fits. The whole deal with the Lee TL is to supposedly save the lube-sizing routine. So if you don't have to do it, why bother?
