any old-timer reloaders out there who have used this surplus powder. It was developed for use only for the M1 Carbine and the X39 Russian. I've also heard that it was a great powder for the 45 Colt in cowboy action. Have any of you used this powder. I recently acquired 8 lbs of this stuff and will never be able to use it all for my Inland carbine.

The only reasonable answers to your dilema is
a) package what you don't need and forward it on to me, or
b) purchase at least one more carbine, and load for a friend to shoot, or
c) find yourself a Ruger 30 carbine blackhawk, and then you can feed it, or
d) take more time off work to reload and shoot more! :kidding:

I have 3 8# jugs of H116. It is close to win 680. I am using it in 25/20, 22KH. 44mag and 32/20. It's a little slow for the 44 and32/20 but works well in the hornet and the 25/20. I'm also going to try it in 200gr 357 and 240 gr 41mag. we will see.
