I would like to tale you a little tale. I decided to up thee charge a bit. I was using 37gr of IMR 4198. So I went back to the loading book and it said the max was 43.5 gr of IMR4198 with the cup of 36,900. So I did a fast check to see the max cup for the guid gun and comes to find out it 40,000. I thought I'll load ten and try it. Comes to find out they are alot of fun. I found a mean looking concrete block and it took one for the team. The block went to dust[smilie=p:. Next my brother tryed it on a 4" hard wood tree. It broke like lighting stuck it. :bigsmyl2: He had to have some for his GS so it gave him 4 that I had in my bag. I just need to go to the and shoot up the old ones so I can get the other ones up and going. By the way I useing a 464 cast boolit with a .35 melphat and .460 dia.

I used to load up my 1895 with 400 or 405 grain bullets and 54 grains of heavily compressed 3031. It had similar effects on impacted objects to what you've described, but wasn't much easier on my shoulder.
