hello a few years back i picked up a lee loader in 410 for 3" shells. i never even used it but thought it was neet and kind of collectible.

Now i have aprogressive 410 loader and am looking to finance a coulpe of other purchases. when i checked prices on ebay for these things some go for $40 and othere well over $100 how do i know how valuable of a little kit this is? can anyone help me figure out a fair price for this kit? It looks to be in very good condition maybe even unused let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Jpamp

As you see on ebay, only the market can set the value. You can set any price you wish but getting it depends on how badly someone wants it. I'd say $20-30 range. Few folk shoot .410, VERY few reload for it.

As a novelty, I never heard of anyone "collecting" old Lee reloading tools but....who does know?

They do have collectors of old Lee loaders and they sometimes raise the prices too high on flea-bay. I've seen the 410 loaders go for $100, don't know if the bidder payed or not. I bought mine for $28 which is more in line with being correct. Put it up and see maybe you will find one of the crazy bidders and do good for yourself.

I sold one on eBay and got (IIRC) $65 for it. With an auction, you never know. A lot depends on the words you use in the auction title when people search. Cram in as many keywords as you can: Lee .410 Shotgun Reloading Tool Reloader Die Rare Collector

I have seen Lee Loaders for prices ranging from $10 to $40. Of course rarity comes into play on pricing.

Remember, for you to make obscene amounts of money at auction you need at least two bidders that really want the item.

well i wasnt thinking people would be actually offering bids for this, just trying to figure out the difference between a loader that goes for $40 and one that looks the same to mee that goes for $100+. thanks for all the replies and if anyone else has any info on the collectability of different versions of this please let me know. for those of you interested in this i will have to decide if and for what price i would sell this for.

Thanks,
