What happens if you use carnuba red to lube a boolit to be used in front of BP? I am going to help a guy learn to cast and I have some boolits cast and lubed with CR. I Know that poeple usually use a different lube, but I don't want to unload my star.

I guess you could always lube them by hand.

Carnauba Red is non-petroleum based so it should work OK with BP.

Lube in the holy black serves two functions. One, reduce leading, More importantly, two, SOFTEN fouling. i suspect you will need to patch between shots, using this hard stuff. should you go to your local gunstore, and find a small stick of SPG or another soft lube, made for BP, you might not need to patch but every 10 shots or more, depending on the humidity in your area,

Good luck.
