Need a favor please.
I need to know the diameter measurements of the mauser 98 original stepped barrels front reamped sight band ID and OD. I am wondering if a nicer mauser 98 front sight band/ramp will fit my 1916 spaniards front stepped area. Mine is 0.610 I.D and 0.685 O.D and .435 long I have a useable area that is just under an inch long but my sight band only spans half the distance and do not look right to me. I see several nice ramped front sights for 98's and I could just unsolder my existing short spanish style and solder the longer one on if they are close enough to make it fit.
