What puzzles me is that this brass has been fired at least 5 times in my 30/40 Krag Sporter Carbine and even tho the flash hole is way off center, I've managed to sucessfully decap it those 5 times and not deform the hole or break the de-capping pin.
Pays to check your brass every once in a while....:-?

Seems their punching machine could use some adjusting...Ray

Some brass I've sectioned has a funnel like shape where the hole is punched. Maybe that's how the pin gets in there.
FWIW- Sometime back in Precision Shooting or one of the other "tech" mags they did a test and found no difference between off center primer holes and centered. Same for "uniformed" holes.

That is the worst one I have seen. How many do you have?? Are they from the same lot??

That's the sort of thing that made me give up on Remington brass. I've had flash holes not just off center, but way over sized as well. I had a bunch of 45 acp brass that, after being run thru my RCBS carbide sizer, a .452 diameter bullet would still drop to the bottom of the case. I've not been impressed with their quality.

Remington .30/40 Krag brass is a good bit shorter than Winchester brass.
