Gentlemen,
After some trials, I finally have a lead boolit that shoots and feeds in my SA XD 9mm (Lee 120gr TC). It's a TC at about 126grs, sized .357". Accuracy is plenty good for IDPA matches, but it hits a little higher than factory 115gr ammo with the fixed combat 3dot sights on my gun. Not much, actually right on top of the sights at 25ft, sort of what I call a 6 o'clock hold. This wouldn't cost me any points in IDPA as the scoring rings are fairly large, but I'd like to have these boolits hit behind the front dot.
Do I want to push them faster (within safe limits of course) or slow them down to bring the POI down? I used to know the answer to this, but can't remember it right now. I don't want to install an adjustable sight as I like the sturdy fixed sights on this gun.
Thanks for any help.
