Call me crazy, but I seem to get better boolits out of the old nutcracker style handles than the new ones. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

I think it's you. To help you out I'll take the newer style handles off your hands. I don't like the nutcracker style, but alas it's all I have. A friend borrowed my other pair and moved out of town.

My first handles for my Lyman and Lee molds were the same.
12" -1/4" key stock, with a notch ground into it for the screw to hold the handles in place.
6"of broom handle drilled out for the stock to be pressed into.
A bench vise to hold the mold while pouring. This was done at work with a torch rig. Pass the time when nothing was pressing. Battery lugs and solder. One of my sups. gave me a large homemade ladle, sinker molds and different forms of lead his father-in-law left. 3 boxes that weighed 160#. I watched ebay and received handles for the Lyman, with shipping, $2.00 less than list price online. I never saw the Lee handles, so had to buy them new. This was in 1995, so do I have the old style or new ones.
