I've had some good luck with straight wheel weight alloy, but a plumber friend of mine is going to hook me up with some lead pipe scraps. Being that these should be nearly straight lead, I'm assuming I'll have to add some tin to the mix. Is a 20:1 alloy sufficient?

This is out of a GP100 6", just range ammo, hunting isn't a concern. I've got a Lee tumble-lube mold, if that makes any difference.

Now to find some tin...!

I hear mixing 50/50 with your WW alloy will work well.

May want to try that.

Thanks, I'll try a test-batch of that.

I shoot 50/50 alloy water dropped in my .357 lever rifle using the TL358158swc with good results.

try some 50/50 with your WW first, my pipe scrapes with WW came to 13bhn with nothing added!!

my normal alloy is 25% pure to ww's and some tin for fillout..
waterdropped for rifles and straight for leverguns and revolvers.
