Yes you can "bump" them.
A better option may be too "beagle" the mould.
There are articles about both of these operations on CastPics (http://www.castpics.net/).

Click "Articles by Members" on the left side.
Look for the articles titled "Bullet Diameter Enlargement" and "Bumping".

What alloy are you using?
Most mold are cut for a specific alloy.

The 38-55 was a good paper patching boolitt.
Diameter shouldn't be an issue that way.

Never have figured out Paper Patching, Read it, but didn't get it. Also don't think it would work in my lever gun, would in the Browning.

Paper patching is simple. All mine work in bolt guns. I do not know why they wouldn't work in a bolt gun.
Patching up is really simple. The hardest part is the starting. Paper is inexpensive to experiment with also.
You might look into it.

I shoot paper patch in 3 levers and 5 bolt actions. No reason not to!

With some 30-1 mine drop at about .381. Is this too small for your gun?
