I finally got my barrel and cyclinder throats slugged and measured. I took the slugs to my gunsmith and he measured them.

Barrel - .411"
Throats - .412"for five, and one .413"

Is this good, bad, ok?

I guess ideal would be a .410 groove diameter and .411 throats, but what you have should work great with a .412 sizer.

I have a LEE .410 sizer now. Guess I need to get another one, or leave them un sized. I use Alox tumble lube anyways.

I guess Lyman or RCSB makes a different sizer?

Ya need to run YOUR boolits in YOUR alloy through YOUR system, then mic the outcome to see what's really going on when sizing. Alloys behave differently in sizers, with things like spring-back that can surprise you. Wheelweight alloy and linotype alloy can vary over .001" in the same sizer die--using 38 caliber boolits as an example. Lino sizes fatter in my experience, and harder bullets in general have more "spring-back" than do softer ones. Nominal sizer diameters are guidelines, and relative ones at that.

The older Lyman Cast Bullet book had a chart of about 3 or more very different size bullet cast of out various alloys and sized...showing the as cast sizes and the sizes after sizing to show how much spring-back.
