I am about to cast some .40 cal boolits for use in my Glock, with a Lone Wolf barrel.

I wonder if I should use straight clip on's, or a mix of half clip on/half stick on weights?

Thanks,

Randy

50/50 would be fine. the last batch I cast up were 2 ingots range lead, to 1 ingot WW.
From a LEE 175 gr. TLSWC with the bevel base trimmed off, a 158 gr boolit averages 871 fps. with AA #5 clone at 6.3 grains. Absolutely no leading.

This is an aftermarket barrel but not a Lone Wolf barrel.

If you're loading full pressure 40 S&W loads, I'd suggest casting them hard. Straight WW, water dropped, works best for me. Softer alloys work fine at lower pressure, but the harder boolits are still more accurate even in the light loads. There's no advantage to casting them soft, unless you don't have much ww alloy.
Unless you're casting HP's of course, that's a different story.
